What to do in Aberdeen
Aberdeen is the third largest city in Scotland with approximately
250,000 people living here. We enjoy the level of amenity you would
expect to find in a city of this size.
 | Restaurants and Bars
The hotel is not licensed but there are licensed premises nearby and
throughout the city. French, Italian, Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Thai,
Greek and Turkish restaurants together with the usual fast food outlets
are located within the city centre area. |
Shopping
The city has three shopping malls, the Bon Accord Centre, the St
Nicholas Centre and the Trinity Centre, all within a mile of the hotel
and marked on the map. Specialist shops are sited throughout the city
centre, with Union Street as the main thoroughfare. |

Cultural Pursuits
From the city centre map you may see that the Music Hall is within easy
walking distance. Tourist Information, His Majesty's Theatre and Art
Gallery are all less than a mile away, as is the newly re-furbished
Maritime Museum beside the Harbour. |
| The Granite City is noted for its architecture, and fine examples can be found in Bon
Accord Crescent and Square to the west of Dee Street, the Music Hall,
and the Town House and Salvation Army Headquarters at the eastern end
of Union Street. The City Library with St Mark's Church and Theatre
(known locally as "Education, Salvation and Damnation") form a
particularly distinguished trio of adjacent buildings. |
